Emilio Pasquale does not exist. He is a figment of an overactive imagination, a young man trapped in an old man’s body! A product of the sixties, he survived the Summer Of Love in San Francisco and the business world of New York City before ill parents led him to Las Vegas, where he now resides and enjoys retirement.
Educated in the arts, he has only recently returned to his first love- photography. He shoots mostly landscapes in and around the southwest United States with occasional forays to parts further east and west.
The name Emilio Pasquale is derived from his grandfather Emilio, and his uncle Pasquale. They, and his grandmother Maria, landed at Ellis Island around 1917. The family originated in Fontanarosa, a small town about 1 hour east of Naples, Italy. They settled in New York state. More specifically Brooklyn. His father was born there, as was the rest of the clan. As the children grew, married, and had children of their own, they settled in different parts of the country.
Born in Brooklyn and raised in Southern California, he first picked up a camera to document his passion for the land and the effects of the weather when he was only 17.
Thank you,
Paul Douglas
